Bob’s wood turning creations
Posted by Fay on November 11, 2009

Neither one of us can believe he made these. The bowl in the middle with the thicker edge was the first bowl. The second one on the right with the beautiful grain is his second bowl. Both of these were turned from new wet wood and he was told to make them thicker because they would crack and then he could turn them thinner. The large bowl on the left was with dry wood and was his third bowl. The little jar with a cover was the last project. It is about 3 inches high and is so cute. I did the finish on them with Tung Oil. I’m think I might also be hooked on turning and will take a class in Jan. There are so many nice small things you can make like pens, candle holders, jars, boxes, pot pourie containers, etc.
Below is a close up of the jar.
