It’s hard to believe we have already been here for four years. It has gone by so fast and we have done so much. Absolutely no regrets about the move. There is much more to do than even I thought. We have made a nice circle of close friends and are involved in volunteer work. Greenville and Travelers Rest area is truly a gem of a place to live. Summers are a little hotter than we expected but still much better than a Minnesota winter.
This weekend on Saturday we went to the Pickens Founders Music Festival. The weather was perfect. There were about 30 craft booths and not jammed with people. Lots of blue grass music in the beautiful new amphitheater. My favorite thing was to see my first medicine show. It was fashioned like an old fashion medicine show with magic, tricks and lots of laughter. The couple is from Ohio and just wonderful. We didn’t get to try any snake oil though. Darn.
Sunday afternoon we went to the Greenville Little Theater for a live performance of The Marvelous Wonderettes, a very fun musical comedy. It was music from the mid to late 50′s to 1960′s. Very clever how they used the lyrics of the music to make four stories about the four young singers who were at their prom in 1958 and then 10 years later at their class reunion. I would highly recommend it if you like music from that era. We capped off the weekend with a soak under the stars in the hot tub. A perfect weekend.
Enjoy the photos as I look back over the last few years.
