Everything is good with Smoky and Sabrina

Time for another post from Smoky and Sabrina.

Things are going really well for us.   We haven’t broken anything lately and Smoky’s eye infection has cleared up.  Fay moved our three tier play stand out to the screen porch and we LOVE it out there.  As soon as the door opens we are on it.  It really seems like we are in a tree house now and we love to watch the squirrels play.

Our new diet dry food is OK, we eat it but don’t like it as much as our old food.   We think we are a little thinner but Smoky still has a ways to go to get rid of his big soft tummy.   Fay makes it up to us at night when she still gives us our treat of canned cat food.   Sabrina starts begging about 7:30 p.m. but we usually don’t get it till about 8:30.   Sabrina can really fuss and make a racket and be underfoot to get her food.

Smoky finally seems to be over his fear of Fay and Bob’s bed.  None of us can figure out what spooked him but he was terrified of the bed for the last couple months.  Smoky continues to be Bob’s lap cat.  Like any guy, Smoky is mesmerized by the garage and sneaks out there any chance he gets.   He especially enjoys sleeping in Bob’s trailer in the garage.  Smoky continues to love the bathroom sink.  Most mornings when Fay and Bob wake up he is sitting in the sink waiting for the water to turn on so he can have a drink.   Very spoiled kitty.

Sabrina is turning into a little love bug and begs Fay to pick her up and hold her and crawls into her lap almost every time she sits down.  She is always sitting on the desk or in the office window if Fay is working.   Sabrina sneaked outside a few weeks ago and had Fay laughing as she watched Sabrina jump across the lawn chasing butterflies.  Fay is happy that Sabrina finally sleeps through the night.  When Sabrina first came to the house she got Fay up at 3 a.m., then 6 a.m. and now she doesn’t pester her to 7 or 8 and is much more quiet.  She sits on Fay or Fay’s pillow, strokes her chin or cheek with her paw, purrs really loud and then licks Fay’s nose.  By the second time she does that Fay is laughing and gets up to feed us.  Another very spoiled kitty.

There has been lots of company at the house and we aren’t afraid of people any more and are real friendly to our guests. Come visit us so we can show you how nice and cute we are.

Smoky and Sabrina signing off.   MEOW MEOW.

Sabrina is a healthy kitty

Sabrina says:

I went to the vet yesterday for my last kitty exam and shots.   I was a really good girl in the car and in the office.  I didn’t squirm or cry but I sure wanted to be close to Fay.  She protected me.  I have been scratching my ears so the dr. thought something might be in my ears but he checked and everything was ok.  Guess I just got itchy ears!

I am growing really fast.  In a month I went from 5.5 lbs to 7.3 lbs.  and will eventually get to about 10 lbs.  Fay says I am getting really strong.   Smoky and I play hide and seek and tag every day and also wrestle together and do acrobatics on our kitty condo so I get lots of exercise and am building strong muscles.  The dr. thought I made really cute little chirps and coos when I talk.

I don’t have to go back for a year, Fay just needs to put on my flea and worm treatments each month.  Smoky goes to the dr. next week.  I hope he is healthy too.  He is my friend and I love playing and sleeping with him.  He helps me keep my ears clean.

I still love to be cuddled and held.  Smoky and I can sit in Fays lap at the same time.  Fay says I am like a sticky note.  I can jump in her arms or lap and immediately stick, just like a sticky note.   Smoky squirms around and takes awhile to settle in.

Meet new little black kitty

When little black kitty came from the Humane Society her name was Alexis which was pretty but not quite right.   Sheba was getting close but after another day with the little sweetheart she seems like a Sabrina.  Here is your first look at   her.  Now that she is over her hiding phase, which you will hear more about in a later post, she follows me around like a little puppy.   The two cats met at the Humane Society and seemed to get along ok but haven’t crossed paths at our house yet.   We are taking it slow.
