Smoky & Sabrina say “Good news, bad news.”

Fay took Smoky to the Dr. today because she was worried about him because he has gained so much weight.   The good news is Smoky has no illness (as far as we can tell) and the bad news is Smoky is  more chubby than he should be at only 1 year old  with a pretty big soft tummy  and needs to go on a diet.  Since June he went from 7 lbs. to over 12.  He must have a metabolism as slow as molasses in January.  Definitely related to Fay.   Fay measures our food and feeds us throughout the day because if she gives us all our food at once we eat it right away and then starve the rest of the day.  Smoky does sometimes eat Sabrinas food.  Bad kitty.

Sabrina says she is built like a muscular athlete.  Very solid, not soft and flabby but not a long lean sevelte kitty.  She is solid and very strong.  Since she loves her food as much as Smoky a lower calorie diet will make her even more gorgeous.  Sabrina is really a beautiful little girl.  Silky shiny black fur on her little strong body.

Fay ordered diet dry cat food for us from the vet.  The vet says it’s ok if we both eat it.  It has more fiber in so we think we get more to eat but we just poop it out.  Hope it tastes good.   Fay has three bags of food to return to PetCo.   We hope she gets her money back.  Fay says we will still get our treat of a tablespoon of canned food at night.   We wait all day for that snack.
