I’m still here just been really busy with fun stuff and serious stuff. Have lots of photos to share with you and should have time this weekend to get you up to date on life part two here with the Chobans.
On the serious side Bob and I just finished putting together the annual Newcomers Members Directory. Sixty pages made with a combination of the Access data base, Word for label format and Publisher for the book. We had our problems but it got done.
I also finished a little book I have been working on with Helen, Bob’s mom. She lives in a senior living community called Hazel Ridge and the book is about her life there – Living with the Hazelnuts and Loving Every Minute. You can read more at usucceed.com/helen
Before that I had a couple web sites I had to get done plus our three classes, Friday fun trips, Newcomers events, trip to the NC wine country and Bob’s Woodworkers Guild work on the technology for the new Guild building. Looks like things will be back to normal except for visitors coming for a week from California and a trip to Nashville for us this fall.
Smoky has had an eye infection so for the last week we have had to put antibiotics in his eye three times a day. Looks like it is getting better.
Until I get time to send more photos, enjoy this one taken last Saturday when we had an all day pontoon trip and picnic on beautiful Lake Jocassee, about an hour from our house. It is one of three a man made lakes that helps generate electricity here in the upstate. We were one of four pontoons filled with folks like us from the Furman Ollie program. It was a beautiful day. The lake has at least 4 waterfalls on it, not something you see much in MN on a lake.
