This picture of my Knockout Roses was taken the day before Thanksgiving.   Since then they have frozen but it sure was nice to see such pretty blooms so late in the year.  The plant is about 4 feet by 4 feet.

This photo is the Christmas Cactus Bob got me a couple years ago.  It’s about 18 inches by 18 inches.   It really bloomed it’s little heart out.  Hope it does it again this season.

The pansies and kale were ok at 32 degrees but when it got down to 25 they lost a little of their perkiness.   I’m pretty sure the pansies will come back, not so sure about the kale.  I got a big poinsetta and since I put it on the dining room table Smoky leaves it alone.   I want to get a few amarylis bulbs planted for some blooming flowers in the house this winter. Would also like to get some indoor violets again but so far haven’t found any that look real healthy.   I tried to find a Violet Society but so far nothing close by.   That’s where I got my flowers in MN.

All the leaves are off the trees and Bob mowed them up after Thanksgiving so the mower is put to bed till spring and fortunately isn’t replaced by a snow shovel or snow blower.  He will start up the backup generator to make sure it works in the unlikely event we get a power outage from an ice storm.
