The paper said it is “bitterly cold” here.   It’s 30 and should be closer to 50.   I must admit I finally put my gloves on.   It has been windy and the wind does make it extra chilly.   I observed a neighbor with horses last year and I know it will be cold when he puts the coat blanket on his horses.  They had their coats on today.

Remember this is the Bible Belt with many Baptist churches.  I was encouraged about diversity when we went to see Last night of Ballyhoo which is a play about a Jewish family at Christmas in Atlanta in 1939.

Lots of big name performers coming to the Bi Lo Center (like the Target Center) and the Peace Center (like Orchestra Hall).  To name a few Justin Bieber,  Yanni, Kid Rock, Vince Gill and Amy Grant, Patti LaBell, Bob Newhart.  If the tickets aren’t too expensive we might see Yanni again.

Sabrina and Smoky are definitely southern cats.   They didn’t mind being out on the porch when it was hot this summer but they sure don’t like being out there when it is 30 and windy.   Sabrina hops around and bangs the door like a little dog.

And my favorite sign for a Christmas gift idea. The sign was at the local feed and seed store in downtown Travelers Rest where we got our Christmas tree.

Christmas Gift Idea:
Give the gift of a conceal and carry gun permit and training.   Available here.
