The adventures of Fay and Bob as they move beyond the 9 to 5 life

Southern Snow Storm

Pretty much everything is closed down – schools, University, business, churches,  government offices.   We got some sleet but not as bad as it could have been.  Bob is going to the shed to get the snow shovel and I already have one neighbor who wants to borrow it for their driveway.   Lost our dish TV signal so Bob has to clear the ice off the dish.  Sabrina and Smoky can’t figure out what the white stuff is on the screened porch.  Should they walk on it?   Play with it?   Sit on it?  Sabrina decided she doesn’t want to sit in it so opts for sitting in my plants.

No newspaper again today but our wonderful mail lady slogged through the snow to hand deliver to our door our mail yesterday.  I must say she seemed quite chipper.  She had 4 wheel drive and was getting around just fine.   Still no plow on our street.   Of course no snowmobiles but did see a 4 wheeler going up and down our street last night.

Weather will be below freezing for the next several days so won’t melt quickly.  A good reminder of why we left MN except that snow won’t still be here in May.   Will probably be gone in a week.   I can deal with that.
