In the last week or so Bob has had two classes at the Woodworkers Guild.  One on using a Drum Sander and one on a Panel Saw.   He has another one nextweek on the Band Saw.   His next project is to make me two knick knack shelves. He also went to a meeting about a group that is starting to form to make tables, chairs and bookshelves for the new OLLI building but it will be quite awhile before that happens.

We still have our weekly Southern History class at Furman and are very much enjoying our book on tape A brief history of the world.  It is taking all that information we have learned over our lifetime and putting it in order plus adding some new knowledge.  We went to a Valentine Cocktails R Us and it was so fun seeing almost everyone, even the guys, wearing red.  Wwe grilled some big juicy rib eye steaks on Saturday for an early Valentine dinner.  Sunday we went to The Dead Man’s Cell Phone play at Furman.   A very curious, creative comedy.  Monday was our big event- a piano concert by Emile Pandolphi.  He is a local artist but very well known.  His music is kind of like Richard Clayderman.  He played many popular love tunes as well as some other music, sang a little and there was a female vocalist who performed several songs.   There was also a delicious reception before with champagine, chocolates and hors doeurves. It was almost a three hour concert.  It was a very nice way to spend an evening with Newcomer friends.  We have also enjoyed several long soaks in the hot tub.

With the weather so warm it is impossible to keep Smoky and Sabrina inside, especially Sabrina.  She is the one that wanders off more and doesn’t want to come home.  I am teasing her that with all this red soil her little white feet will be pink and it is starting to happen.  She was just covered in red dust a couple days ago.  I always remember when we were looking at homes around here that I said to Bob, “Look, there is a pink horse.”  No kidding.   It was a white horse out in the field and it’s fur was all pink.  We also saw pink dogs.

Well maybe not exactly like this horse but you get the idea.
