Life Part Two

The adventures of Fay and Bob as they move beyond the 9 to 5 life

Feeling better and enjoying fall

After two weeks of coughing and sniffing and blowing our noses Bob and I are finally feeling better.   We got all the summer flowers thrown out, the lawn blown of leaves and raked and some cleaning of stuff done.    I still could use a little more energy but definitely better.

Bob told me last week that when I watched two hours of his woodworking movies with him that he  knew I really didn’t feel good.  Made a big grocery run a couple days ago so lots of food in the house.   We were out of everything from milk to cat litter.

We have lots of fun stuff planned for Nov. and Dec. We still have most of the leaves on the trees and it is beautiful.   Weather is back in the 70’s so absolutely my favorite time of year.  Every day I am so grateful that storm missed us. However only an hour or so from here in the mountains they got 18-24 inches of snow.  My heart breaks when I see the pictures in the news.

Big news here in SC is that a foreign hacker broke into the SC Revenue office a couple weeks ago and stole millions of social security numbers (3 1/2 million) and a million bank and credit card accounts for individuals and businesses.  What a mess.  Costs to get everyone access to their credit history to check for problems is alone 12 million dollars.  I am in the process of doing what I can to make sure our information remains secure.

This is my favorite mountain photo that I took a couple years ago.   I have an 8 by 10 of it framed on our photo wall.

This is a photo of the fall flowers at the Biltmore House in Asheville.

This is Lake Placid on Paris Mountain State Park.   This is about 10 minutes from our house.
