Cotton Patch Gospel was delightful

Last night we saw Cotton Patch Gospel at North Greenville University.  It is a blue grass musical with music by Harry Chapin (Cats in the Cradle, Taxi) and was written in 1981.   The story starts with the birth of Jesus in Gainsville GA and continues until his reserection.  The story takes events from the Bible and weaves them into a modern day story.   A very cleaver creative story with lots of laughs and good music.    The students did a nice job.   I don’t know when I have enjoyed something so much.  So much fun for just $8 a ticket!

I also found out about another play they are doing in Feb. and I hope to get some girlfriends together to go see it.    The play is Little Women, the Musical.     It’s been over 50 years since I read that book and I would love to revisit it.
