Last weekend was busier than usual.   On Thursday night we went down to Clemson, about an hour away, had a nice dinner and then went to see the fabulous show Momix.I saw it last year in Greenville but Bob could not go.   It is best described as a modern dance show but that doesn’t come close to really describing it.   It is so much more than that.   I highly recommend seeing it if you like modern dance and new age music.   We don’t like to drive late at night so we stayed at a  little motel and drove back the next morning.  Check out their video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80fs3ntUrAE

I got home just in time for the third meeting to finalize the Newcomers new bylaws and constitution.  At six that evening we went over to a friends house for a Mexican dinner.  A fun evening with six of my favorite people.   Saturday we were home all day.

On Sunday we went to Center Stage to see Rock and Roll 80’s, a high energy singing and dance performance.   We went last year to the 70’s show and it was great.   The performers, band and dancers did a fabulous job but I am not as familiar with the 80’s music so didn’t know as many of the songs.   The tributes to Michael Jackson and Prince were really, really good.  The only down side was that the show was VERY loud.   I’ve never been to anything where they offer you ear plugs when you come in and we needed them.   I don’t know why they couldn’t turn down the volume.   It really distracted us from what would have been a perfect entertainment experience.

After we left the concert we went to a super bowl party for a few hours.   We aren’t sports fans but the food and company was good and I am glad we went.   All in all a very fun weekend.
