Here are our two latest wood creations.

This is a marquetry butterfly that Bob just finished.    It is about 6 by 8 inches and is all veneered wood.   It is lovely.

This is a maple wood cutting board in the shape of a pineapple. The pineapple has special significance and there is a card that goes with it that says

“Pineapples are time honored symbols of Southern friendship and hospitality

In Colonial days the pineapple was considered rare, very attractive, exotic and expensive. You only shared it with your most honored guests and over time it came to symbolize friendship, hospitality and good cheer.

In later centuries, sailors brought the pineapple home and when a fresh pineapple was displayed on the porch it meant that the sailor was home from his voyage and ready to welcome visitors.”  It is about 12 inches long and 7 inches wide.  Has a beautiful finish on it of food safe tung oil.
